Recently, publishers and developers have been integrating individual paid services into their various game releases. Call of Duty: Elite and Battlefield Premium are examples of this. Namco may be the first to integrate a similar service into a fighting game. Today at Gamescom they revaled Tekken World Federation. This premium service will allow players of the forthcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to track and compare stats, compete in special online events, form teams with their friends and check their rank on a cumulative world leaderboard.

Unlike the other paid services I mentioned, Tekken World Federation doesn't seem to come with any DLC, which makes it seem comparatively weaker. Still, it seems like a service die-hard fans could really get into.

Tekken World Federation will launch alongside Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in North America on September 11th. A trailer describing the service in more detail can be viewed below.
