Gearbox Software Working to Address Screen Tearing and Frame Rate Issues in Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

Released this week, fans of the Borderlands series were able to jump back into Pandora with the release of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, though after the more recent rash of big releases met with technical problems, unfortunately The Handsome Collection seems to be falling into a similar rut.

Users on the official Gearbox Software forums have been reporting various issues with the recently released collection of both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, with the most common problems reported being screen-tearing and frame rate issues most often occurring with The Pre-Sequel!.

In a post in the forums by Gearbox Software community developer Joe King, the studio has confirmed that “the team is certainly aware of both the screen tear and FPS lag issues and are currently investigating them.” While The Handsome Collection did include a hefty day-one patch to address specific issues and added in newly-released DLC for The Pre-Sequel!, Gearbox does appear to be taking action to ensure further issues are addressed, with future updates seemingly on the way.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
