Gearbox Software’s Battleborn Goes Gold; Details on Beta and Post-Launch Support Coming Soon
Previously known for the likes of the Borderlands series, developer Gearbox Software is getting its latest new IP ready for release with the multiplayer-oriented shooter Battleborn, with the title having now been confirmed as finishing its development.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed through Twitter that Battleborn‘s retail version is ready, as he says “back in the we would say ‘Gone Gold!'”, announcing that the game’s primary development for retail is finished and ready for pressing to discs and distribution ahead of its upcoming May release.
Pitchford added in a subsequent tweet that a beta for the game is coming soon, and that “details about post launch support” will also be arriving soon, most likely to explain any post-launch content such as DLC and game updates.
Battleborn will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 3rd, 2016.
