E3 season is in full swing which means we're starting to learn just more about what we'll be seeing in about 10 days when the year's largest gaming event starts to take place. As of this afternoon, we now know of two new instances in which we'll be getting a look at Xbox Game Studios' upcoming release of Gears 5. This afternoon, The Coalition and Microsoft confirmed that the latest installment in the long-running Gears saga is set to appear at Microsoft's E3 briefing that will transpire on June 9. Is this revelation surprising? Absolutely not, but it still details just when we'll next be seeing Gears 5.

What is perhaps a bit more surprising is that Gears 5 has also been confirmed to appear at E3 Coliseum, the stage show which takes place in proximity to E3. The Coalition's Rod Fergusson is said to appear at the panel to share an "inside look at Gears 5." Further details on what will be shown or discussed weren't divulged, but if you've been waiting for a deeper dive at the latest Gears game, you'll probably get that here.

As of now, Gears 5 is planned to release later in 2019 on both Xbox One and PC. You'd have to imagine that we'll be hearing more details on the game's official release in just a couple weeks once E3 finally does roll around. Until then, stay tuned.
