Gears 5 is due out in a little under two months at this point and judging from what The Coalition has to say about the game, it's going to be one huge package.

In a new conversation with Game Informer, The Coalition's multiplayer design director Ryan Cleven talked a bit more about Gears 5 and just how much it will offer. According to Cleven, Gears 5 will boast the largest offerings that the series has ever had, not only with the campaign, but with multiplayer and PvE, too.

"Gears 5 is the largest Gears of War to date; it's the largest campaign ever made, the largest PvE ever made, the largest versus ever made," Cleven said blatantly. "The team at The Coalition is an extremely talented but focused team that believes in this game. They're extremely passionate about bringing their mark, a high degree of quality, and a legacy that Gears fans will recognize."

On the front of multiplayer and PvE, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Gears 5 would offer the most that the series has ever had. With returning modes like Horde coming back once again alongside new offerings like Escape Mode, it stood to reason that these aspects of Gears 5 would have much more content than previous installments.

However, to know that the campaign of Gears 5 will also be larger than any other before it is exciting as well. Even though I love the multiplayer found in the Gears series, the campaign is still one of the main reasons why I like these games. After Gears of War 4 left something to be desired on the campaign front, I'm hoping that The Coalition can give us a memorable story here in Gears 5. While the game being bigger doesn't automatically mean it'll be better, it certainly does make me more interested in playing the final product.

Gears 5 is set to launch later this year on September 10 for Xbox One and PC. If you'd like to get in on the action sooner, the game's first beta test for multiplayer is set to go live tomorrow.
