Gears of War 4’s Release Date Announced by Microsoft

on April 6, 2016 9:01 AM

If you were eager to know when Gears of War 4 will be released, the wait has now come to an end, as Microsoft and The Coalition announced that the game will launch worldwide on October 11th.

If you want to get a taste of the game early, the beta will begin on April 18th for anyone eligible for early access (you need to have played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on either Xbox One or PC before April 11th). All Xbox Live Gold members will be able to play starting on April 25th and ending on May 1st.

If we wanted to be nitpicky, the official announcement doesn’t mention a platform. This may or may not mean that Windows 10 gamers might hold some hope of getting their hands on the game, but for now the game has been announced only for Xbox One, so we’ll have to wait for more info on this.
