Gears of War Developer Renamed to "The Coalition;" Gears of War News Teased for E3

Gears of War developer Black Tusk Studio is no more, but that’s not (thankfully) because the team has been disbanded, but just because it has changed name to “The Coalition.”

The studio will still be led by Gears of War veteran Rod Fergusson, and Microsoft hopes that fans will associate the Gears of War franchise with “The Coalition” name from now on.

Interestingly, we also get a tease for E3: apparently we’re going to see what the studio is working on on the Xbox Daily show from E3 on Monday June 15 at 4PM PDT.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
