Since the release of Gears of War: Judgment  in early 2013, things have been fairly quiet for the franchise and from Black Tusk Games on the next title in the series being (presumably) developed for Xbox One, though very little official word has been released on what we can expect for the series’ debut on next-gen consoles.

Recently though, a tweet from one of the series’ voice actors does seem to confirm the return of some familiar faces, as Gears voice actor Lester Speight, known as the popular Private Augustus “Cole Train” Cole,  response to a fan tweet hinting that Cole will return in the upcoming new Gears of War title. Specifically, Speight confirmed that he has received “a call” about reprising his role in the upcoming new Gears game as Cole, and humorously capping off the tweet with a “#whoobaby.”

The next Gears of War title is currently under development by Black Tusk Studios and expected to be released on Xbox One – stay tuned for more information and updates on the next Gears title once more info becomes available.
