I love it when developers hold contests for games, especially when the prizes are opportunities that are hard to pass up. This contest is one of those opportunities. Game Streamer and Frontline Studios are wanting to know if you have what it takes to complete 300 levels for the arcade game Gene Labs. Top scorers will win beta tester accounts with the developer, which could potentially lead to paid positions. Winners will also receive free games, T-shirts and tote bags. 120 lucky people will become winners, but only 36 of you will become beta testers. The contest is open worldwide and ends on January 28th, 2011.
“At Frontline, we know what it takes to fully test a game,” says Marcin Michel, CEO of Frontline Studios. “In our in-house Testing House, we’ve observed during the past few years that the best game testers are the ‘maniac gamers,’ who are absolutely passionate about video games, and at the same time committed to finish each and every game they play. That’s why we are excited about the Gene Labs contest, where we will be assigning beta tester accounts as the main prize for the best score winners. This game in particular is a great opportunity for any gamers who dream about a professional career, to check for themselves if they are thorough enough to become a game tester and make a living by playing games one day.”
The goal of Gene Labs is to launch an anti-virus solution around microscopic worlds before the virus infects the healthy cells. You will also need to capture mutated cells before they are attacked by the infected. There are 11 bacteria to choose from and featuring endless play and 300 levels worth of gameplay.
