Several new leaks from Genshin Impact have emerged, stating that miHoYo is making several changes of plans regarding future content in 1.6, such as the release date of the Dendro Element. What happened?
Latest Genshin Impact leaks for Ver 1.6
Genshin Impact leakers on Chinese forum Baidu Tieba shared several new messages on upcoming content coming starting Ver 1.6. These were later translated and summarized on a popular Genshin fan community Discord:
According to various credible leakers, miHoYo is making frequent changes to the available upcoming content. This means that all the recent leaks from the past few days now may include outdated/incorrect information. Arkywzx has even deleted his post about Chasm/Dendro not being in 1.6, and Inazuma coming sometime between 1.6 - 1.8. It is currently unknown what miHoYo's plans are.
In other words, according to these new messages from Chinese leakers, unlike what they previously stated, it's still possible the Dendro Element and Dendro characters like Baizhu will be released in 1.6. And it's still possible Inazuma could be released as soon as Summer. Personally speaking, I didn't believe that "Dendro and the Chasm are completed but delayed on purpose" leak, so I'd be happy if they released sooner rather than later.

How to interpret these new 1.6 leaks?
Moreover, with this new development, we were also reminded something important. Even the leakers in China, who were right in the past, and who possibly have sources within miHoYo, can still be wrong if miHoYo changes its plans.
Ultimately, this new "leak" doesn't really teaches you anything if you've been playing Genshin Impact. And have been closely following the game. Whether its data mined leaks, or leaks from Chinese message boards, nothing is set in stone until miHoYo officially announces it. Even if something is data mined from the beta versions, when it comes to the official game, there is no guarantee miHoYo will include the same content in the same order. It's always been like this, nothing new.

That's all for the Genshin Impact 1.6 leaks regarding Dendro and the like. Ver 1.5 update is releasing on April 27. It's unsure whether new characters like Eula and Yanfei, the Zhongli banner rerun, the Homeworld system, or the new boss Azhdaha will be coming in Ver 1.5 of Genshin Impact or not. We'll only know for sure when the 1.5 livestream happens, and it should come around in the next few days.
