According to the latest leak posted by popular Genshin Impact leaker Lumie, we have got some insight into what we could see in the next update.

Genshin Impact 2.6 Leak Reveals Scaramouche's Appearance Details

In a

" rel="nofollow">tweet, the leaker mentions that Scaramouche will not be making a physical appearance in the next update. This is quite a bummer for many players out there as there are many fans of Scaramouche, and they would be wanting to see the character in the game.

We have witnessed new lore surface around Scaramouche recently, which had led many to believe that we could be getting closer to a playable Scaramouche. In 2.2, we saw that he ended up keeping Ei’s Gnosis after getting it from Yae, which started sparking up a number of new theories. The fact that he kept it for himself could make him an antagonist in the eyes of the Fatui, which could possibly mean that we are heading towards a playable Scaramouche. This is because of the fact that to become a playable character, he must have similar goals as the Traveler, to be able to have discussions in the Serenitea Pot.

The hype around Scaramouche actually started slightly before that, in the 2.1 Update. In the Omnipresence over Mortals quest, players meet Scaramouche who goes on to reveal how he was not responsible for Delusions, before attacking the Traveler, who faints and is later on saved by Yae. It is during this incident that Yae gives Ei's Gnosis to him, in order to save the Traveler. While a physical appearance is ruled out, we might still get references about the highly anticipated character in the next update.
