Genshin Impact is all set to get the Sumeru region as well as the Dendro element in the next update, but there is another surprise reward miHoYo has in store for players.

We are inching closer to the second anniversary of Genshin Impact, and miHoYo is gearing up to make a number of changes to the game. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the new Dendro element for almost a year now, but it miHoYo had saved it for the big occasion. Last year, there was a lot of controversy around the anniversary event, since fans were quite unhappy with the rewards given out by miHoYo. However, this time around it seems like miHoYo has something good in store for fans.

According to a new leak posted by Project Celestia, one of the most credible leakers in the Genshin Impact community, Collei will be given out as a free reward in the next update. It is stated that Collei can be obtained by taking part in the Carving of Innocence event. Collei will be a part of the event, along with some other "generic" NPCs. There is a also disclaimer that this is subject to change. While this caveat is always there with leaks, we have rarely seen things getting changed from the beta to the final release.

While Collei is being given out as a free reward in the next update, it should be noted that this is most likely not the only reward we will get in the next update. Considering that it is almost coinciding with the anniversary, it is very much likely that players will be getting a number of free pulls along with this as well. We should be getting more details about what is to come in the next update in the upcoming weeks.
