RELATED: Genshin Impact 3.4 Banner 4-Star & 5-Star Characters Officially RevealedThe Genshin Impact 3.4 Update maintenance will kick off on January 18, 2023, at 06:00 am (UTC+8). The maintenance will be lasting for a total of five hours, and players will not be able to play the game during that period. For each hour the game is down, players will be receiving 60 Primogems as compensation. That is, for a total of 5 hours, they will be getting 300 Primogems in total for the maintenance. If the maintenance finishes early, the developers have stated that players will still get 300 Primogems at minimum, although that might increase if the maintenance lasts longer than 5 hours. Unlike some of the other stuff in the game, the update will be released at the same time across all servers.

This update is quite a sizeable one, and players will be getting two new Dendro characters, Alhaitham and Yaoyao. Along with that, there is a new area in the Sumeru region that players will be able to explore, known as the Desert of Hadramaveth. While the new region, quests, and characters are quite enticing, the major highlight of the update is the return of the Lantern Rite event, which is undoubtedly one of the fan-favorite events. miHoYo is also actively working on the TCG which was introduced in the previous updates, with two new cards for Klee and Beido being added to the game.

As far as the banners for the new update go, alongside Alhaitham and Yaoyao, the likes of Xiao, Yun Jin, and Xinyan getting much-needed banner reruns as well. With just a few hours remaining before the update releases across all platforms, fans don't have to wait a lot to see the new characters in action.
