Genshin Impact regularly releases new characters in its updates, however, Sumeru City, and especially Dendro element characters have yet to be implemented.

Dendro, the wood-like element of Genshin Impact, and its users like Baizhu and Yao Yao have yet to see the light of the day and are still in development. However, Sumeru is the next destination of the Traveler in the main story of Genshin Impact. Sumeru is the Dendro region. And according to recent leaks, the development of Dendro characters is finally reaching its end.

Genshin Impact leaker reports Dendro element development is complete

On a certain Genshin Impact fan Discord server you're all acquainted with, data miner @BLANK explained they heard from one of their insiders that Dendro is done and ready for public test.

Past leaks mentioned Dendro would be released in the second or third patch of 2022. So it'd make sense that its development is finished now. Those past leaks also mentioned this would be around when the Chasm would be released. We explained in a previous story why Genshin Impact leaked information regularly link the release of Dendro characters with the release of the Chasm.

Sumeru City concept 3D concept artwork leaked

Moreover, the Genshin Impact leaks Reddit leaked new artwork for Sumeru City. Fitting the Dendro theme, a gigantic tree is traversing the city.

Some of the buildings might also be part of the Sumeru Academy we've already heard about plenty of times. We already know Cyno, who will be one of the key characters in the Archon Story Quest of Sumeru, is working for the Academy. Lisa studied there as well.

The 3D concept artwork looks very similar to the 3D fanart shared several weeks ago by Genshin Intel:

All this Dendro and Sumeru content in Genshin Impact has no release date. Besides those past leaks who spoke of a February or March 2022 estimate. miHoYo will release all regions of Teyvat by 2025. So it's very likely Sumeru will release in 2022.
