The latest Genshin Impact leaks gave us more Dendro crumbs, this time teasing a new World Boss that players will have to farm for materials while exploring Sumeru.

In the same vein of how Inazuma was added in Genshin Impact version 2.0, right after version 1.8, all of the Genshin Impact fanbase expects that Sumeru, the next region, will be added in Genshin Impact 3.0, this summer, after 2.8. And not only leaks but several in-game hints - most notably in The Chasm - have pointed toward this direction.

The addition of Sumeru would also mark the addition of the 7th and final element into Genshin Impact's gameplay, the Dendro element, based around wood and plants. And this latest leak is a sharp reminder than once Dendro characters start rolling out, even veteran players will have to spend hours to farm new materials for them all over again.

Genshin Impact Leaks - Project Celestia Teases New Dendro World Boss

The Sumeru region will have its share of World Bosses, and one of them was nicknamed the Jade-Plumed Terrorshroom as we wait for official reveals. This will be one of the new World Bosses who will be dropping Nagadus Emerald materials. These are the Gems needed to Ascend Dendro characters.

The new World Boss was revealed by Project Celestia, a Twitter account who regularly shares leaks based on data mined info from the ongoing Genshin Impact private Beta Test. The Version 2.8 Beta is currently ongoing.

Hours of Dendro Materials Farming Awaits...

While we will be able to trade in our existing Gems of other elements for Dendro Gems, we will necessarily be forced to farm all these new Bosses for their unique Ascension Items. Hopefully, none of these new Bosses will be as annoying to fight as the Oceanid. And that's not even getting into all the new Talent and Weapon Ascension Materials we'll have to farm for future Dendro characters.

Moreover, it's highly likely HoYoverse will finally release Baizhu as a playable character soon after Dendro is implemented. Only time, and leaks, will tell whether the Baizhu banner will happen in Version 3.0 or beyond.

Genshin Impact is currently in its Version 2.7, with its main event Perilous Trail currently ongoing. Version 2.8 is scheduled to launch on July 13, 2022, and 3.0 will be coming six weeks after it. Let me know your thoughts on the current event via Twitter @A_iyane07.
