Genshin Impact developer miHoYo rarely ever leaves things up to chance, and the new artwork shared on November 1 featuring Ningguang and Beidou, Liyue characters, should be teasing future developments and Skins considering the current leaks.

First, if you read the tweet, it says that the artwork was shared to celebrate how the Genshin Impact Japanese Twitter account reached 1.6 million followers. This is also why it was only shared on Japanese socials.

Next, you should consider that obviously, all these celebration artwork were commissioned in advance by miHoYo. Which then picks which artwork to reveal for each occasion. If miHoYo decided to specifically reveal this artwork with Ningguang and Beidou now, it's definitely not a coincidence, and timing is key.

Future Ningguang and Beidou Events, Content, Skins predictions

Past leaks have said a Ningguang Skin is coming, and it looks like this is what this new artwork could be teasing. Ningguang and Beidou had several appearances in the previous main event, the Moonchase Festival of Version 2.1.

However, the pair isn't among the active characters of the ongoing event, Labyrinth Warriors. So there should be virtually no reason for them to be featured like that.

Besides the new Skin for Ningguang, it's possible new content featuring Beidou could be coming soon as well. While Beidou was included in the game since the pre-release Beta Tests, the Traveler only met her in the story for the first time ever before heading to Inazuma.

Genshin Impact - More Liyue Events coming soon?

The current Labyrinth Warrior Event did an awesome job when it comes to showcasing Xinyan's personality and charm. It'll definitely be nice if Beidou similarly played a bigger role in an upcoming Event, and also got a Skin. Leaks have said however that the next upcoming Skins would be for Ningguang and Keqing, not Beidou. Fans of the happy-go-lucky cool pirate voiced by Ami Koshimizu will have to wait a bit more.

The Version 2.3 update of Genshin will be happening in three weeks. The update will add new characters Arataki Itto and Gorou, both from Inazuma.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android. A Switch version is also coming at some point but has no release date yet. You can always reach me on Twitter @A_iyane07 to discuss the game or Japanese-stylized stuff in general.
