Genshin Impact is entering its Version 2.3 this November 23 night, here's a countdown for the maintenance schedule, and all the details you need.

Genshin Impact has been released for over a year now and its popularity around the world isn't waning. The game is still getting a new major update every six weeks as well.

Genshin Impact Version 2.3, Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, is the first update since the release of Inazuma that won't add a new area. So it might initially seem to be smaller. However, it'll still add new Artifacts and dozens of Events, and most notably the sequel to the 1.2 Dragonspine Event with Albedo.

Genshin Impact 2.3 Shadows Amidst Snowstorms maintenance time, countdown (UTC-5 to ET time)

The Genshin Impact Version 2.3 maintenance will begin at 5 PM EST, 2 PM PST, and 10 PM GMT on November 23, click here for additional time zones and a countdown.

The maintenance will be 5 hours long as usual but might end sooner. All players above AR 5 will be receiving 300 Freemogems after maintenance. PC players can pre-download the update right now.

Albedo and Eula banner rerun release time

Genshin Impact Version 2.3 will introduce the new Character Event Wish-2 system, with two banner reruns at the same time. With Eula and Albedo leading the march. Their banners will be live right after maintenance ends, and they share the same 4-star characters drop rate boost.

Note that we won't always get two simultaneous banner reruns in the future. It'll only happen from time to time. And the rerun characters will be relevant to new story content. For example: Eula will play a part in the new Albedo event.

Why Arataki Itto and Gorou aren't playable right after maintenance?

Itto is a new 5-star character, and his banner is the second one coming in 2.3. It'll happen in three weeks after the Eula and Albedo banner, on December 14. Gorou will be on Itto's banner. So you'll have some time to farm for Itto's materials till then.

Genshin Impact is an open-world JRPG developed by Shanghai-based developer miHoYo, on PS4, PS5, PC, and Mobile, with a Nintendo Switch version in development. The Twitch collab to get the KFC glider also starts with 2.3.
