Genshin Impact developer miHoYo held on November 12, 2021, the Version 2.3 livestream, most notably revealing the releases dates for Arataki Itto and Gorou, the new Golden Wolflord boss, Events, Artifacts, and last but not least a new type of banner rerun, Character Event Wish-2.

Genshin Impact is still as incredibly popular as ever, and details from the livestream leaked a few hours beforehand on Chinese social media. Most notably regarding a new type of banners (Wishes).

These details turned out correct and were fully explained on the live steam with more accurate information. We have all the news below, including the Version 2.3 trailer in English and in Japanese.

Genshin Impact Character Event Wish-2 explained

Character Event Wish-2 will happen from time to time, and the rerun banners' timing will fit the Version's content. This means that Character Event Wish-2 will not be held with every single new Version update.

Eula and Albedo both play a part in the new Story Quests and Events of 2.3. Hence why Albedo Secretum Secretorum and Eula Born of Ocean Swell are the two banner reruns on Character Event Wish-2 in Genshin Impact Version 2.3, releasing on November 24.

On the 2.3 livestream, we learned the devs decided to create Character Event Wish-2 after collecting and considering player feedback. This way, some new players won't have to wait too long for a limited character to come back.

Pity system in Character Event Wish-2 explained

The pity count between the two banners of Character Event Wish-2 is shared. For example, in version 2.3, if you pull 50 times on the Albedo banner, and don't get a 5-star, you'll have a chance to get a 5-star on the Eula banner in the 40 pulls left until 90.

The pity count between each subsequent Character Event Wish (the usual character limited banner) and Character Event Wish-2 is shared as well.

Currently, it's unsure if each banner on Character Event Wish-2 features the same 4-star character drop rate boost or not. For example, if the 2 banners are Albedo/Eula, Diona, Yanfei, Sucrose, or not. I've asked miHoYo about it and should get an answer soon.

New 5-Star Weapon in Genshin 2.3 geared for Itto

Redhorn Stonetresher is a new 5-star Claymore weapon. Its substat and Ability are geared for Itto, check Honey Impact for details. Personally speaking though, unless you're a whale player, I don't recommend pulling for 5-star weapons. I'd save my Primogems for characters instead. You definitely shouldn't obsess over getting the "canon" or "representative" weapons of characters either.

Husk of Opulent Dreams Artifacts in Genshin 2.3 geared for Noelle

New Artifact - Husk of Opulent Dreams: 2-Piece Set: DEF +30%. 4-piece Set: A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.

Ocean-Hued Clam Artifacts in Genshin 2.3 increases DPS for Kokomi and other Healers

New Artifact - Ocean-Hued Clam: 2-Piece Set: Healing Bonus +15%. 4-Piece Set: When the character equipping this artifact set heals a character in the party, a Sea-Dyed Foam will appear for 3 seconds, accumulating the amount of HP recovered from healing (including overflow healing). At the end of the duration, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing DMG to nearby opponents based on 90% of the accumulated healing. (This DMG is calculated similarly to Reactions such as Electro-Charged, and Superconduct, but is not affected by Elemental Mastery, Character Levels, or Reaction DMG Bonuses). Only one Sea-Dyed Foam can be produced every 3.5 seconds. Each Sea-Dyed Foam can accumulate up to 30,000 HP (including overflow healing). There can be no more than one Sea-Dyed Foam active at any given time. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. (In other words, it should also trigger with things such as the auto res with Barbara's C6).
