Genshin Impact PS5 Compatibility With Faster Loading Times And Better Graphics Available November 12

Genshin Impact will be among the launch titles of PS5 on November 12, with faster loading times and improved graphics compared to the PS4 version.

October 30, 2020

miHoYo announced in a new press release Genshin Impact (PC, PS4, Mobile, soon on Switch) will be playable on PS5 when the console launches on November 12, with improved graphics and faster load times. miHoYo confirmed that this will be possible through the PS5’s backward compatibility with PS4.

The PS4 version of Genshin Impact has longer loading times than on PC. Hopefully, additional optimization in the near future will make them shorter. It’ll be a bit of a stab in the back if you need to get a PS5 to play the game in the best conditions. Not that the loading are insufferable though, especially if you’ve at the very least been playing games since PS1.

miHoYo made this reveal simultaneously with new details revealed for A New Star Approaches, the Version 1.1 update of Genshin Impact. You can read all the details on A New Star Approaches with our past coverage

Genshin Impact is now officially one of the launch titles for PS5. However, miHoYo previously stated there are no plans to bring Genshin Impact to Xbox One or Xbox Series X.

Genshin Impact Version 1.1 will launch on November 11. Besides numerous changes and new characters, it’ll also upgrade the maximum amount of Original Resin to 160.
