German Magazine Unofficially Confirms Hsien-Ko and Sentinel

Well what do you know? A few screens taken from a German magazine show off two yet unrevealed characters in the upcoming fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Followers of the game know that we’ve been speculating about these characters for a while now but have yet to receive any official confirmation. In these screens, you can clearly see Sentinel being used as well as a character portrait for Hsien- Ko.

Also, a pretty much completed character select screen is of interest as well. While these screens are still not official confirmation, they do give you another reason to believe that the leaked list is entirely correct. These could however be the work of an extremely talented photo shopper. Personally, I believe this is completely legit and I’ve got some pretty solid reasoning. Hit the break for the argument and the rest of the screens.

It isn’t by chance that the leaked character list has been just this accurate. We could have counted one or two up as lucky guesses, but four official reveals later and it takes a certain kind of skeptic to still deny the legitimacy of the list. Here are a few reasons why I fully believe this evidence is real:

  • As I’ve said above, the leaked character list from December has predicted the roster with perfect accuracy. Both of, not one of these characters were on the list and do you think it’s a coincidence that they are both here? I think not.
  • Everything else in the screens has been confirmed. Look at Hsien-Ko’s portrait in the time line. Everyone else there has been officially confirmed and are represented by official game art.
  • Leaked screens of Akuma foretold his inclusion, and they turned out to be legit. These also look legit, with Sentinel’s render looking glossy and appropriate, and even the name under the health bar looks like the real deal.

I’m sure naysayers and purists probably won’t pay much attention to this since it’s unofficial and should be treated as a rumor. However, if you’ve been watching the game, then a pattern is visible and I can practically promise you that the next character reveals will be Hsien-Ko and Sentinel.

I won’t say I told you so only if you agree not to say it to me if it turns out this really is some phenomenal fake. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be available on February 15th.
