Even in space it pays to be green. And now the newest update to Space Engineers gives players that eco-friendly power with the inclusion of Solar Panels, and more.

The newest update for Keen Software House and Marek Rosa's Space Engineers not only gives gamers the much-requested solar panels -- which can be viewed below in the newest update trailer -- but also more survival mode options in the world settings, damage that can be dealt from thrusters, and more detailed production screens in the assembler.

For newcomers to the game, Space Engineers offers players freedom in designing space stations and spaceships as they wish, with both a range of development tools and a robust physics engine to experiment with, and encouragement to test, fly and crash everything they build.

Space Engineers is available on Steam Early Access for $14.99, which comes with some good perks for early adopters. For more trailers and update details, check out all of our Space Engineers news.
