on May 29, 2015 10:33 AM

After the amiibo craze kicked off with the figurines’ launch back in November of last year, the demand for new figurines and the more elusive characters has driven the fervor to an all-time high: in light of this, Amazon is using a new purchasing method with today’s launch of Wave 4, in order to provide as many amiibo in as many customers’ hands as possible.

Over on Amazon, the major online retailer has provided new information regarding the launch of today’s Wave 4 amiibo figurines, which seeks to put a new purchasing system in place for those seeking to buy the latest batch of new character figurines. In short, Amazon will periodically release the new figurines over the course of the afternoon/evening today in half-hour increments, with a new figurine to go on sale within a random time within those 30min purchase windows.

In addition, Amazon also detailed that the company will be limiting purchases to one of each amiibo figurine per customer, with 1-Click Purchasing also disabled during the sale of the new figurines. Amazon also detailed that customers should check and make sure their credit card and shipping information is up to date in order to expedite the purchasing process.
