The other day, Sony PlayStation held a State of Play that introduced fans to a beefy deep dive of Ghost of Tsushima, an open-world samurai title that finds players hacking their way through enemies, using the wind to guide them to waypoints, and becoming one with nature as they stroke foxes on the head. As pre-orders for the title open up, the file size requirements for the game have also been revealed.

The game, which is available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store sits at $59.99 and includes the Ghost of Tsushima base game, the digital mini-soundtrack, a PS4 dynamic theme featuring the protagonist Jin, and a PS4 avatar of Jin. The game also requires the player to have a minimum of 50GB.

Ghost of Tsushima is a PS4 exclusive heading to the console in July, and in comparison to The Last of Us Part 2 which is also a PS4 exclusive launching a month earlier, the file size is a lot smaller. The Last of Us Part 2 will require the player to have at least 100gb of free space.

It's also worth bearing in mind that both of these games are still yet to launch, so there's the possibility of them getting a beefier day one patch which may bump the file sizes up a touch. For example, Fallout 76 was originally 45Gb, but the day one patch was 54GB.

If you did miss the State of Play video on Ghost of Tsushima, you can check out what you missed here, such as exploration, combat, and even a photo mode. The title is slated to launch on July 17, 2020 and will be a PS4 exclusive. If you want to pre-order the game through Amazon, you can do so here.
