Shortly after the launch of Ghost of Tsushima earlier this year, Sucker Punch announced that it had plans to bring a new cooperative game mode called Legends to the title later in 2020. After a few months of silence surrounding Legends, Sucker Punch has now finally announced when the new mode will be arriving.

Over on the PlayStation Blog today, Sucker Punch and Sony revealed that Update 1.1 for Ghost of Tsushima will begin to roll out on Friday, October 16. This patch will of course bring Legends with it, which will allow players to team up and take on various enemies. Legends is said to be based on Japanese mythology and will therefore be much more magical than what may be found in the base game. There are also a number of different classes you can choose to play with in Legends ensuring that the gameplay won't get too stale.

Speaking of the Ghost of Tsushima base game, though, Sucker Punch will be rolling out a variety of new additions in this area as well. Likely the biggest new feature for many will be in the way of New Game+, which is something that has been highly-requested for some time now. While playing in this mode will allow you to carry over all of your items and progress to a new game, there will also be some other new additions such as a new horse and new Charms. And for the trophy hunters out there, Sucker Punch has also added some new trophies that are tied directly to NG+.

This is just the tip of the spear when it comes to what this 1.1 update will be bringing to Ghost of Tsushima so if you've been looking for a new reason to return to the title (or hop in for the first time) next week seems like as good of a time as any to do so.
