Ghost of Tsushima was one of the biggest PlayStation hits of 2020, releasing to rave reviews. With many critics and fans praising the visually stunning aesthetics and fluid combat.

If you're not a PlayStation owner, you might not have had the opportunity to experience Ghost of Tsushima on release, as it is of course a PlayStation exclusive title. But, if recent leaks and speculation are to be believed, the massively popular title could be coming to PC in the future.

PlayStation and PC History

One of the first PlayStation exclusive titles to arrive on PC was Horizon Zero Dawn, which made its PC debut over 3 years after release. But it wasn't until Days Gone received a PC version in May of this year that Sony really begun ramping up the release of PlayStation titles on PC.

Jim Ryan, the Sony president and chief executive officer, revealed in an interview with GQ that following on from the success of Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, more steps would be taken in that direction.

When Ryan was asked about the success of Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, he said "We assessed the exercise in two ways. Firstly, in terms of the straightforward success of the activity of publishing the game on PC, people liked it and they bought it. We also looked at it through the lens of what the PlayStation community thought about it. There was no massive adverse reaction to it. So we will continue to take mission steps in this direction."

So, with both Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone now having successful PC releases, what's next? Well, fans are speculating that it could in fact be Ghost of Tsushima's turn.

Ghost of Tsushima On PC?

UPDATE: Since publishing this article, the source in question has revealed that a physical copy of the updated Ghost of Tsushima box art does in fact feature the 'Only on PlayStation' logo. The changing of the logo is likely related to a rebranding by Sony. Many fans may continue to speculate on Ghost of Tsushima coming to PC, which we still believe is likely, but this logo removal/change appears to have been debunked.

The rumors began when a Twitter leaker, who goes by the name of 'CrazyLeaksOnATrain', stated that numerous PlayStation exclusive titles would be coming to PC. The titles in question being Bloodborne, Uncharted, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima.

Although it's always important to take leaks with a grain of salt, it's not too far fetched to believe this one considering we now have Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, and Days Gone available on PC.

Now, even further speculation has begun as an eagle-eyed Reddit user noticed that the "Only on PlayStation" logo has been removed from the Ghost of Tsushima box art.

With Amazon Prime day beginning on June 21st, the official box art for the title has been updated and no longer features the PlayStation exclusivity logo.

Now, this could simply be to tidy up the box art of the game, which isn't an uncommon practice for games. But now that the title is coming up to its 1 year anniversary this July, could it be time for Ghost of Tsushima to arrive on PC?

The removal of the "Only on PlayStation" logo doesn't necessarily mean that the title will be coming to PC anytime soon, but it certainly makes you wonder.

Personally, we don't think it's a long shot that Ghost of Tsushima will one day arrive on PC considering the recent perspective Sony has had towards bringing their exclusives to PC. When it could actually happen, however, is up for debate.
