Yesterday, Sony released a new teaser for Sucker Punch's upcoming action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima with the promise to show more on the game tomorrow night at The Game Awards 2019. As of now, we have a bit more of an idea of what to expect from this coming trailer.Revealed by the host and producer of The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, over on Twitter, it was said that this forthcoming trailer will feature new gameplay footage for the title. Keighley went on to also describe the trailer as "a true cinematic journey." Keigley previously has confirmed that this new video for the game would be the longest trailer shown during the event tomorrow night. This news might not sound too revolutionary, but based on the teaser that we saw of Ghost of Tsushima yesterday, it looked as though gameplay footage might not appear at all in the video. The opening moments of the trailer, which is what Sony teased to fans, made it seem as though the full trailer might only be cinematic in nature. It turns out, that won't be the case after all.

While getting a new look at some gameplay footage from Ghost of Tsushima will be great, I think I speak for most fans when I say that what I'm really hoping to see in this trailer is a release date. Sony has continued to reaffirm in recent months that Ghost of Tsushima will be arriving exclusively on the PS4, and not the upcoming PS5. Because of this, it stands to reason that the game will launch a least a bit before the Holiday 2020 season. Past rumors though have indicated that it will arrive somewhere in the latter portion of the year.

Regardless of whether or not Sony reveals the release date for Ghost of Tsushima tomorrow night though, I'm sure the trailer itself will be an enjoyable one to watch. We'll share it with you here on DualShockers once it ends up going live at that time.
