Ghost of Tsushima has had a lot of players loving the beautiful, serene Japanese setting of Sucker Punch Productions’ action-adventure title. And yesterday it was revealed that the game would be getting a new co-op multiplayer mode arriving this Fall. The developers have confirmed that it will not come with any microtransactions whatsoever.

Speaking to IGN (Thanks, VG247) Sucker Punch Productions, via a PlayStation representative clarified that the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Legends update will be free from microtransactions.”There are no microtransactions in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and we have absolutely no plans to add them. All of the content is unlocked through play.”

Those who own the game will get the update for free, as already revealed. however, it’s understandable that to use the online features you’ll need an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

There’s been a lot of microtransaction talk this year. Experiment 101 confirmed that Biomutant would not have microtransactionsCrash Bandicoot 4 will also apparently not have any. Then there was the news that Fortnite has generated over $1 billion in microtransactions.

Ghost of Tsushima is available exclusively on PS4 and the free Legends update should be arriving this Fall.
