Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Announced

It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen or experienced anything related to some of Tom Clancy’s most respected games, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six – two franchises that have established themselves as respectable games due to its realistic approach to modern warfare and impressive stories. Though many games have filled in the empty voids left by these franchises (Modern Warfare 2, for example), there still remains gamers who have and will remain loyal to the series’.

It was known sometime early last year that a new Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six were being developed by Ubisoft behind closed doors. While months passed and many twiddled their thumbs for some news, it wasn’t until recently that Ubisoft teased with some “big” news via Xbox Live that a new installment to the Ghost Recon franchise – Ghost Recon: Future Soldier – is indeed underway.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, just like all Ghost Recons, boasts “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single player and multiplayer modes,” For those of you hungry multiplayer fans, Future Solider has been promised with a beta this Summer. How do you get into it? You’ll need to get your hands on some Sam Fisher in the upcoming Splinter Cell: Conviction, as that’s where the invites will be waiting for you.

With a show of hands, I would like to know how many people are excited to finally have an overdue Ghost Recon finally hit.
