Ghost Recon Wildlands Narrative Created in Collaboration with Authors Don Winslow and Shane Salerno

Ubisoft revealed today on their official blog that they have partnered with bestselling authors Don Winslow and Shane Salerno to create the narrative of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Both writers have had experience writing stories about cartels, and worked with the writers at Ubisoft Paris in order to craft a realistic and grounded storyline for the title.

Don Winslow had the following to say about his involvement:

“I’ve written about drug cartels for more than twenty years and together with my writing partner Shane Salerno have brought that knowledge to the story, scenes, characters and dialogue found in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.”

Salerno also had the following to say about being a Tom Clancy fan and working on the game:

“I’ve been a Tom Clancy fan ever since I first read The Hunt For Red October. It was a real thrill to work on this game with the team at Ubisoft, who are incredibly passionate and committed to delivering the best gaming experience possible for fans.”

The game recently got a video focused on how the title’s cartel works, which you can watch hereTom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One March 7.
