The 10th week of the 2017 UK Sales Charts are in, and unlike the 9th week, Sony's Horizon: Zero Dawn is no longer at the top. Rather, Ubisoft has returned after sitting on top of the charts for both the 7th and 8th weeks with For Honor, except this time it's with the newly launched Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Exactly one year after the record-breaking Tom Clancy's The Division (which is still the biggest launch ever within any Q1 on record), Ubisoft now debut at number 1 on the All Formats Top 40 (Units) with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands, the biggest week 1 launch of the year so far. Further, the game comes in at number two in a very long list of Tom Clancy games, behind only The Division.
Obtaining the biggest launch this year is quite the impressive feat, especially when it means beating previous number ones and/or the big releases of this year, such as: Horizon: Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 7, For Honor, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The aforementioned chart topper Horizon: Zero Dawn -- which is exclusively for the PS4 and not multiplatform like Wildlands -- only drops to the number two spot following its week where it recorded the biggest launch week so far the year (though this was short-lived). Meanwhile, TT Games and Warner Bros.' LEGO Worlds debuted this week at number 3.
Rounding at the top 5 is last weeks number 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the ever-present GTA V. Notably Square Enix debuted at number six with NieR: Automata, another impressive feat when you consider the game only released one day prior to the chart's cut off date.
The final new release to crack the Top 40 was Nintendo's Mario Sports Superstars for 3DS, which came in at number 37.
