We had heard the rumors and seen the leaks over the past couple weeks but as of today, it has been confirmed; the Ghostbusters are returning to modern consoles later this year.

In conjunction with Mad Dog and Saber Interactive, the 2009 release of Ghostbusters: The Video Game will be re-released later this year as the aptly titled Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered. This announcement was made via a new trailer for the game this morning and in the process confirmed that the remaster will be landing on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. As for the PC version specifically, it will be rolled out on the Epic Games Store. No specific date for when the game is arriving has yet to be given other than that it will launch this year.

As seen in Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered's debut trailer, we can get a look at the new high-quality graphics and visuals that the game now has. Honestly, from what we can see in this video I think the visuals actually look pretty fantastic. This game was never ugly or anything to begin with, but this new touch up seems to have really done some wonders for it. We don't really see any actual gameplay footage in the trailer, instead it's just all cinematics, but hopefully, that portion of the game looks just as good.

Anyway, if you want to check out the reveal trailer for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, it's attached below. We'll share more information with you on the game's release date once we find out more down the road.
