Pokemon GO Gible Community Day June 2021 - Information, Pros and Cons
Out of the blue, and way in advance of what they normally do, Niantic announced June’s Pokemon GO Community Day.
While players are still waiting to take part in May’s Swablu event, Niantic confirmed that they’d made a very interesting choice for next month.
In a simple eight-word tweet, they revealed both the Pokemon and the date of June’s event.
Here are all the details you need to know about the Gible Community Day in June 2021, including some Pros and Cons.

June 2021 Details
Of course, as Niantic’s tweet was only eight words, details are pretty sparse on the June Community Day.
What we do know, however, is, it involves Gible and will be taking place on Sunday, June 6 (likely between 11 am – 5 pm local time).
Naturally, Gible will have a boosted shiny rate and Garchomp will learn an exclusive move but that’s all we can guess for now.
With Niantic releasing the date super early and adding a cryptic follow up Tweet, one can’t help but feel that this is going to be something special.
Pros of a Gible Community Day
Having Gible as the featured Community Day Pokemon has lots of benefits.
Gible, Gabite and Garchomp are three incredibly cool Pokemon for starters. Couple that with the fact that Gible’s shiny form is pretty good and you’re off to a superficially good start.
For me though, there are two main benefits. Obviously, Garchomp is an extremely powerful Pokemon and it’s been a while since Niantic has given us a Community Day that has had the opportunity to really shake up the PVP meta.
The second benefit links directly to the first. As stated, it’s been a while since we’ve had a rare/pseudo-legendary Pokemon as part of a Community Day and hopefully, just hopefully, this leaves the door open for other exciting events ahead.
Cons of a Gible Community Day
Honestly, there aren’t many.
One of the benefits of a Community Day is the opportunity to catch a new shiny Pokemon, however, many players will have encountered a shiny Gible at some point in the past, so this may irk those a little.
There’s also the possibility that Niantic completely fluffs it and gives Garchomp a terrible Community Day move, however, based on their teases, that doesn’t seem likely.
Other than that, honestly, there’s not a lot of bad that can be said. Here’s hoping this continues into the future!
