Ginger: Beyond the Crystal, a 3D adventure platformer from developer Drakhar Studios and publisher BadLand Games has finally landed onto PC and PS4. And to celebrate a new trailer has been released.
Never heard of this Ginger before? No problem, here’s everything you need to know:
Travel through the Crystal to keep the world in balance — and help your friends survive certain extinction by exploring ghostly craters, coral planets, sleeping caves, and terrifying crypts filled with fun and enjoyable puzzles and enemies to tackle. Navigate whimsical landscapes and environmental platforms — jumping (and double jumping!) to reach collectible crystal fragments and imprisoned villagers. Be prepared to face toothy clams, whirling dervish-like critters, giant stone golems, meteorites that fall from fiery mountains, and other menaces.
In between platforming sessions, you’re tasked with rebuilding homes — recreating the towns of your ancestors before disaster hits. Place different types of houses in the villages to restore happiness — and in the process, heal the world itself!
Available now on PS4 and PC, Ginger: Beyond the Crystal costs $19.99 USD on the PS4 and $14.99 USD on PC. In North America it is only available digitally. However, in Europe the PS4 version is available at retail, and includes a coloring book, poster, and stickers. Yeah, stickers baby.
