After being with the company in one form or another for over nine years, today Glen Schofield announced via his personal Twitter page that he'll be leaving the Activision company as a whole by the end of the month. While he doesn't give a reason for his departure from the company other than it's "time for something new," he did say that he'll be taking a short break before getting back in the game somewhere else in the near future. You can read the full tweet for yourself at the end of the article.Schofield co-founded Sledgehammer Games with his partner, friend, and co-worker at Visceral Games Michael Condrey back in 2009. During their time at the studio, they lead production on a couple entries in the Call of Duty series: Advanced Warfare and WWII. While Schofield has been with Activision in the form of Sledgehammer Games for a while now, he only recently joined the company in a direct capacity. Earlier this year, Schofield and Condrey both left Sledgehammer Games to take up executive roles at Activision, passing on the torch to Aaron Halon in the process.DualShockers wishes Schofield the best in this new step in his life.
