God Eater: Resonant Ops Gets Lovely Opening Animation by Ufotable

Bandai Namco released the opening animation for God Eater: Resonant Ops, that will bring the popular hunting franchise to mobile platforms.

Today Bandai Namco hosted the God Eater 8th Anniversary Thanksgiving Day event at its Future Research Institute venue in Tokyo, and they revealed the opening animation of the upcoming mobile game God Eater: Resonant Ops.

Resonant Ops is the direct sequel of God Eater 2: Rage Burst, and despite being on mobile and free to play, it’s advertized as a full-fledged JRPG.

The opening cutscene was of course created by studio Ufotable. Since the game is a sequel of God Eater 2‘s story, you can expect to see a lot of familiar characters in the clip.

If you’re curious about the game, you can also check out the original announcementGod Eater: Resonant Ops will release for iOS and Android in Japan this spring. No announcement has been made for the western market.
