It's nearly been a year since the release of Sony Santa Monica's re-imagined God of War, and fans of the series are getting antsy -- when will we be seeing the inevitable sequel? Though we can't answer that question yet, we are definitely excited for what the studio has in store for the PS4. And so are fans -- one has created an amazing God of War mockup movie trailer that is welcoming in Ragnarok. The movie poster was created by Twitter user BT_BlackThunder, who has made a name for himself in making amazing God of War movie mashups. This one goes above and beyond though:

For those who aren't aware, this is a fun recreation of the Hellboy movie poster, which shares a very clear aesthetic:

Dare I say it, though -- the God of War is far more fitting. Kratos standing on a mountain top, channeling thunder, with Atreus making a backdrop in the pattern. Not only is this a hypothetical movie I would love to see -- but it is a movie poster that I would love to hang on my wall.

Even better, senpai developer Sony Santa Monica has noticed it:

This is far from the only movie poster that Black Thunder has made -- Kratos takes a principal spot in this Avengers themed movie poster celebrating single-player games on PS4:

And while we should definitely be lauding some of this great movie poster, there are a ton of other ways that fans are coming together to create awesome community projects. Take, for example, Jessica Kerr's female Kratos that projects power or the previous fan-created movie poster for the original game.

It should be no surprise that fans are taking to fun projects like this while they wait for a new announcement -- the game has received an avalanche of awards, whether you are discussing DualShockers' Game of the Year or the 2019 DICE Awards.

Who knows when we will hear something about God of War 2 -- Sony Santa Monica is reportedly bulking up on staff, which is definitely a good sign.

God of War is currently available exclusively for PS4. If you have not picked up the game, you can do so right here through Amazon. After all of the praise that I have just given the game, you are still wary about picking it up, then check out DualShockers’ review of God of War where we awarded the game a 10 out of 10.
