While Crytek has been busy after the release of its Ryse: Son of Rome last month with the Xbox One's launch, it seems like the studio is already planning ahead for where to go with next-gen by bringing aboard some aid from the God of War team.

Todd Papy, the former Game Director at SCEA Santa Monica that worked on this year's God of War: Ascension, has reportedly started working with Crytek on an "unannounced project." After changing his Twitter bio and updating his LinkedIn profile with the new position, Papy is now working as Game Director for the studio, although details on the new project that Crytek has in store are still unknown at this point.

Could it be potentially a new sequel to Ryse, with Crytek setting its sights on making it a full-fledged series (given Papy's experience working on the similar God of War series)? A next-gen entry for one of Crytek's existing franchises, like Crysis or Far Cry? Or, is it possibly something new entirely?

Stay tuned for more details to see what Papy and Crytek may have in store on the "unannounced project."
