There aren't many players who didn't want to own their very own Kratos' Leviathan Axe from 2018's God of War reboot. I mean, it looks really cool and what a showpiece to have in your home. Thankfully though, there are plenty of talented people out there who are more than happy to put together a fantastic replica of the ax themselves, and almost three years on since the game launched, it still manages to captivate gamers around the world. So much so, Sony Santa Monica's last big release has landed at the feet of former Mythbusters host, Adam Savage.

To put a little context to Kratos' Leviathan Axe for those who don't know: the ax was crafted by the dwarves Sindri and Brok and belonged to Kratos' second wife, Faye. Throughout God of War, players are able to upgrade it as well as do cosmetic bits and pieces to it like designing a better handle. Former Mythbusters co-host Adam Savage decided to craft a replica of the Leviathan Axe when his nephew requested Adam to make him his very own as a Christmas gift.

Over on Adam's YouTube channel, Savage decided to put added pressure on himself and complete the ax all in the space of one day. By doing some research online, Savage got to work by creating two sheets of sintra PVC foam board to use as the axehead and then designing the ax's handle from some wood. Even the paint that he used on the ax gave it a wonderful realistic finish. The video itself is almost an hour-long but thankfully, it's cut up into bite-size pieces so viewers can get a real feel of the construction that went into the design process.

The end result looks impressive and I think anyone, regardless of age, would be delighted to receive such a fantastic gift. Make sure to check the full video for yourself below and who knows, maybe you will get a few ideas of your own?
