There is plenty of talented and skilled cosplayers around the world that deserve every bit of recognition they get due to the skill they put into their outfits and dedication to the characters they have chosen to portray at that moment, so it's always quite difficult to pick just one to write about. In saying that though, one cosplayer has caught my eye due to her genderbending God of War take on Kratos. Here we see Jessica Kerr fill the massive shoes of the God himself from her own unique perspective - but does she captivate the essence that makes Kratos so recognizable to the hordes of fans of the series? If we run a quick checkmark list, I think it's fair to say Jessica nails the iconic facial grimace, Kratos' imposing stance, the unprecedented rage, and the all-important welding of the ax.

One of the most admirable skills that Jessica obtains in this cosplay is that she has made the attire outfit with her own fair hands. As we can see from the pictures, she started with a base template and then slowly manufactured her Kratos costume one piece at a time by adding leather and fur, as well as other materials.

Other than the fantastic Kratos cosplay we've seen, Jessica had previously stepped into the shoes of Senua from Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Aela the Huntress from Skyrim and Kassandra from Assassin Creed Odyssey. It seems as though no matter who Jessica embodies, she does so with tremendous determination and virtuosity. Santa Monica Studios paid Jessica the greatest honor in recognizing her Kratos efforts by commenting "We're still reflecting on how great you are @Jesskerrcosplay, WOW!" on Twitter with Cory Barlog then retweeting her tweet and stating a simple "Godly".

Cosplaying, as we all know, is an expensive business so if you enjoy Jessica's apparel, you can head over to her website to support her future cosplaying endeavors by helping to fund the costs of the materials she uses. To keep up to date with news on who she will turn her hand to next, you can follow Jessica on Twitter and Instagram.
