The next chapter in Kratos' journey is only a few weeks away with the upcoming release of God of War in April, and those anticipating the marquee PS4 title will have a beautiful new PS4 Pro model to look forward to alongside the game.

Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog that a new 1TB PS4 Pro bundle will be released on April 20th, 2018 to coincide with the release of God of War next month, and will include a limited edition model of the system featuring illustrative artwork reminiscent of Kratos' axe in the game (called the "Leviathan Grey" finish). The bundle will also include a specially-designed DualShock 4 controller and a physical copy of the game.

The bundle itself will be available across the US, Canada, and Europe for $399.99 USD/$499.99 CAD and pre-orders for the bundle are now available.

In addition to the bundle announcement, Sony also detailed several of God of War's PS4 Pro enhancements that players can expect from the title next month. Specifically, the PlayStation Blog detailed that the game will run at a dynamic 4K resolution that is "achieved through a 2160p checkerboard," while players on a 1080p display can also see "increased image clarity via supersampling of a higher resolution." God of War will also feature HDR lighting and wide color gamut across all PS4 models for players with HDR-supported TVs or displays.
