God of War Ragnarok is the next big title coming from Santa Monica Studios, and probably one of the most anticipated titles of this year that doesn't have an exact release date yet!

God of War Ragnarok was originally teased with a brief teaser back in 2020, and Sony shared an official trailer from the game last year. Similar to Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok will also be available on both PS4 and PS5.

While Ragnarok was originally slated to launch in 2021, the game was pushed back until an unknown date in 2022. Currently, we don't have any official info on when exactly we can expect the game to launch, but a recent rating in Saudi Arabia could be a good hint.

Sony Might Reveal the God of War Ragnarok Release Date This Winter

Usually, games don't get a rating until their in the final months of the development process.

The same thing happened for Elden Ring as well. The game was received a provisinoal rating over six months before its original January release date, but then was delayed until February 2022.

So, the fact that God of War has been rated in Saudi Arabia as a +18 game could probably mean that the game might release in Q2 or Q3 2022. And if that turns out to be true, then the release date announcement could arrive in this Winter!

Of course, all said above is only a guess based on the usual traditions of the video game industry. So, you'd better take them with a grain of salt.

Later this month, God of War (2018) is supposed to launch on PC through Steam.
