As revealed officially by The Game Awards' Twitter account, Christopher Judge now holds the record for the longest speech at an awards show after accepting an award, thanks to his almost 8-minute-long speech.According to the tweet, the longest speech belonged to Greer Garson, speaking for as long as 5 minutes and 30 seconds at the 1942 Academy Awards (Oscars), but Christopher Judge managed to set a new record with his recent speech at The Game Awards 2022, which lasted for 7 minutes and 59 seconds, only one second shy of 8 minutes!

On December 8 this year, Christopher Judge won the Best Performance award for his incredible job in voice acting Kratos in God of War Ragnarok. He also won the same award back in 2018 for God of War, but the speech after accepting the award back then wasn't this long. Judge simply appreciated many people after accepting the award this year, which wasn't interrupted by Geoff Keighly, and the voice actor then appreciated Keighley's kindness. After all, this is an achievement that you work years and years to earn, and there is nothing to blame here for talking for around 8 minutes to just thank everyone that helped you to get what you deserved.

It's yet to be seen whether this new record will be officially submitted to Guinness World Records, but either way, it is just another trophy added to Judge's incredible career in the video game industry, though it might not be as big as The Game Awards' trophy.

Despite the fact that God of War Ragnarok lost the Game of the Year award to Elden Ring this year, there is no doubt that the game was one of the most superior experiences of this year in gaming, as admitted by the players and most reviewers.

It's yet to be seen what would be next in Christopher Judge's career, but regarding the incredible success of God of War in the past few years, it is likely to see Kratos return once more in the future, though it might not happen very soon.
