It wasn't too long ago when God of War director Cory Barlog went about teasing his fans on Twitter in which every first letter of each of his tweets made up one sentence... "RAGNAROK IS COMING ❤" which is also the same phrase used in the dynamic theme that was released for the game’s one year anniversary. Ragnarok is the apocalypse in Norse mythology which would most certainly make for a compelling sequel, that's for sure.

It's no huge surprise that we will get a continuation to the title considering how it ended and we've known for some time that Santa Monica Studios have a sequel in the pipeline but, just in case there was any doubt, some job listings from the company have cropped up online to further suggest that God of War 2, or whatever it will be called, is heading our way. Recently, some career listings have come into view over on  Sony Santa Monica careers website, which ranges from narrative implementation to combat design and the one thing that most of the listings have in common is that the suitable candidates "must have knowledge of God of War (2018) and be able to speak in depth about the combat systems, mechanics and enemies".

As for the position for a facial blend shape character artist, the studio outlines that the eligible person should have "next-gen video game platform experience is desirable." which further suggests that we will probably see the next installment for God of War on the PS5 so we surely won't get our hands on it for quite some time.

In May this year, we saw God of War surpassing 10 million in total sales since it first launched in April of last year. That's obviously not surprising due to its massive fan base and Sony's fastest-selling PS4 exclusive ever.

God of War is available now exclusively for PS4. If you have yet to pick up the game you can do that right now on Amazon, or you can read our review.
