God of War Skip-Intro Mod Is Almost the Most-Downloaded Mod in a Week

You can't force PC players to watch something they don't want to!

January 23, 2022

God of War is eventually on PC and many players are enjoying their time in the Norse while smashing enemies one after another, but it seems the game’s intro is too annoying for some players that they have decided to install a mod to get rid of it!

So far, God of War has probably been the biggest PC launch of January 2022 for many gamers around the world. Although the PC players are yet to experience the original trilogy – if Sony still remains friendly with PC gamers, they can still enjoy the epic journey of Kratos and Atreus in the Norse.

Without having any knowledge of Kratos’ past, the new game could feel vague for the gamers, but anyway, we hope Sony has some plans for that too!

Back to the main point, you have definitely noticed the intro for Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation Studios when launching God of War, but have you ever wanted to be able to skip that? If yes, then you’re not alone!

Nearly Five Thousand God of War Players Have Installed a Mod to Skip Sony’s Intro

It seems like the journey of Kratos and Atreus has been so excited for God of War players on PC that they would desperately want to skip the starting intro to resume the game as soon as possible!

As a result, a mod for skipping the PlayStation intro of the game has turned into the second most-downloaded mod over the last seven days on NexusMods with over 4800 downloads, just a few hundred downloads away from getting to the top!

This could be a good hint at the fact that players usually dislike unskippable intros, and maybe developers need to sacrifice their logo showcase at the beginning of a game by allowing gamers to skip it.

God of War is now available on PS4 and PC. The game is also playable on PS5 using the backward compatibility feature.
