Jumping into a game and getting lost for hours on end is something that many gamers do from time to time and it can also be an extremely cathartic method, especially if you are going through a tough period in your life. Emanuel Mojica Rosas, from Jalisco, Nayarit in Mexico, needed a distraction when his grandmother passed away and found salvation and escapism through the means of video games, but not just any video game - Emanuel ran straight into the arms of the god himself, Kratos.

Mojica Rosas talks about how he couldn't focus anymore at his job so he was subsequently fired which made matters much worse for him so, during this dark time, Emanuel found that the only place he could get away from his troubles was turning on his PlayStation and playing God of War. He states that the series gave him hope to carry on and "If Kratos can change his own destiny, I can do it."

Santa Monica Studio who are the developers behind God of War caught wind of Emanuel's story and asked him to come down for a tour of the studios, but what he didn't know was that there was a very big surprise waiting on him when he got there.

To top it all off, not only was he given a full personal tour and to experience the motion capture technology room, but at the end he was presented with the Guinness World Record for the largest God of War collection ever due to his huge memorabilia of 583 GoW items that include backpacks, mugs, t-shirts, and many other collector's editions pieces. Cory Barlog was also there to congratulate him with the original burned disc for the first God of War on PS2 and some beautiful, heartfelt words:

"You inspire me continually, every time I hear anything that you say because it helps me understand that it doesn’t matter how hard something gets. It doesn’t matter how dark the path appears, there is always a light somewhere. That’s amazing."
