God of War eventually received its most anticipated update on PC for AMD fans, enabling the option to use FSR 2.0 for further optimization and better performance on AMD GPUs.

It's been over five months since Sony officially launched God of War on PC with some brand new features over the original PS4 version of the game, as well as Nvidia DLSS support from day one.

The direct translation of DLSS for AMD graphics cards is FSR, which was not active in many big-budget titles in recent years, but AMD has doubled its effort to convince developers to add the support for this technology to their games recently.

Last month, Bethesda's Arkane Studios added the FSR 2.0 support to Deathloop, and now, the AMD users are getting the same feature on God of War with the most recent update of the game.

Down below, you can check out the full patch notes for the Update 1.0.12 in the PC version of God of War:

New Features

  • FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 has been implemented and is now available as a resolution-scaling option within the display settings menu

Fixes

  • The Toggle Aim/Block accessibility features will now no longer have inconsistent behavior.

As you can see above, aside from adding FSR 2.0 support, the developers have also fixed an issue with the toggle aim/block in the game.

Keep in mind that this is a PC-only update and you won't need to download anything if you are playing God of War on consoles.

God of War is now available on PS4 and PC. The game is playable on PS5 through backward compatibility.

Later this year, Sony is supposed to launch God of War Ragnarok on PS4 and PS5, which is assumed to be available on PC a few years later.
