God of War’s Kratos Beats Queen of Valkyries in Epic Battle Using Only His Fists

Kratos vs The Queen Valkyrie. Fight!

As much as we all love Sony Santa Monica’s 2018 title, God of War, some of the battles found within its Norse mythology entangled world can be a right pain in the chops. While some fights can be easily won by a combination of skill and Kratos’ trusty Leviathan Axe, coming up against Sigrún, an extremely powerful and tough Valkyrie Queen, is no walk in the park for most. Although, in saying that, some people can just bash the hell out of her and call it a night, like this gamer who solely used Kratos’ bare hands.

Posted over on Reddit by austin231294, there’s an incredible video clip of Kratos coming up against Sigrún. Not only is Sigrún the hardest boss fight in God of War, but she also processes the amazing abilities and movesets of all the other Valkyries combined which sees most players who come up against her having a tough time. In this particular fight with the Valkyrie Queen, Austin’s ability to dodge her attacks is incredible to watch. Timing their movements just right, the player is able to shield themselves against Sigrún’s scythe and other special tricks and using only Kratos’ fists, they continuously punch Sigrún when a window to do so is opened.

Defending Sigrún right at the end is a fantastic feat for the player, especially so because they used none of Kratos powers or his ax. It’s certainly a badge of achievement to say that you beat the Queen of the Valkyries in a boxing match. Make sure you check out the video below, it’ll make you want to jump into God of War immediately to take on Sigrún in different ways for yourself.

PlayStation head Jim Ryan has recently talked to The Telegraph on whether the next God of War installment will be available on the PS4 as well as the PS5. Unfortunately, as yet, Ryan only apologized and stated “Sorry. I’ve got nothing to say about that today,” For now, all we know is that the next installment in the series is tentatively set to release in 2021 and will for now only be coming to PS5 and if you have yet to experience the latest God of War for yourself, it’s available exclusively on PS4 and you can pick it up from Amazon right now.
