Santa Monica Studios’ God of War is coming, and today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a batch of related videos.

Split into five chapters, the clips are intended to acquaint fans with the Norse lore that serves as the foundation of the game. Since the previous games were based in ancient Greece, some may find a refresher useful.

I don’t know about you, but personally, I’m ecstatic about the game’s new direction. I can’t wait to see what the good folks at Sony Santa Monica managed to do with such a rich set of lore and tradition.

You can check out all five videos below. If you want to see more, you can check out a video about the relationship between Kratos and his son Atreus, one about the lack of any cuts interrupting the cinematic experience, and some really spectacular gameplay.

God of War went gold about a week ago, and it will release exclusively for PS4 on April 20th.
