During a behind closed door event hosted in Tokyo, Kadokawa Games announced a God Wars: Future Past sequel presented as God Wars 2.

The announcement was mentioned on Twitter by Orihime voice actress Yuu Serizawa and idol Moa Tsukino.

Tsukino-san mentions that the official announcement with details will come next week, and DualShockers received confirmation about the existence of God Wars 2 directly from Kadokawa Games.

At the moment, no platforms or release windows have been announced, but we'll probably know more soon.

God Wars: Future Past was a deep turn-based strategy JRPG heavily based on Japanese folklore initially released in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita in June 2017, with a "Complete Legend" version coming in September and adding a Nintendo Switch port.
