Today Kadokawa Games sent in a press release showcasing its upcoming strategy JRPG God Wars: Future Past.

The screenshots focus on four of the characters we'll play, Otohime, Urashima, Issun and Byakko.

You'll probably recognize the names as, in line with the game's focus on Japanese folklore, they're all part of local legends and literature.

The game’s western release date will actually come earlier than in Japan as recently announced by publisher NIS America. God Wars: Future Past will launch in North America on March 28th, and in Europe on March 31st. In Japan, it still has a generic "April" window.

If you want to see more, we recently got a new trailer, while a pretty extensive gameplay video showing the map and battle system was showcased at Taipei Game Show.
